Patient evaluation consists of a detailed history from the patient of their presenting complaint. Part of the comprehensive examination usually includes full 1080 high definition video endoscopy and stroboscopy.

This is recorded and archived and used in assessment and planning of treatment and patient education. The close proximity camera recording and high optical magnification enable precise assessment of the tissues of the nose, mouth, throat and larynx and their function. You will be provided with a photographic sheet from your endoscopy at the conclusion of the consultation.

Dr Broadhurst is highly committed to research and improving the standards of patient care and outcomes. As such data is collected on all patients, particularly before and after surgery to enable regular audit of patient outcomes and for research publications on his techniques and results. Very few ENT surgeons in Australia collect such comprehensive data, which is an indication of Dr Broadhurst's commitment to exceeding patient outcome benchmarks set by the medical industry through regular review and audit of his results.
